Celebrating Greek Independence Day 2023
ΖΗΤΩ Η ΕΛΛΑΔΑ! ΖΗΤΩ Η 25Η ΜΑΡΤΙΟΥ 1821!
On March 24th, our school celebrated Greek Independence Day with a festive event that brought together students, teachers, and parents to honor the rich cultural heritage of Greece. The event marked the 202nd anniversary of the Greek Revolution against the Ottoman Empire in 1821, which ultimately led to the establishment of an independent Greek state.
The celebration was filled with traditional Greek music, food, and dance, all of which were enjoyed by everyone in attendance. The highlight of the event was the student performances, which included traditional Greek dances and songs, all in Greek. It was heartwarming to see our students dressed in colorful and elaborate costumes, dancing with energy and enthusiasm, and singing with passion and pride.
The event was a testament to the dedication and hard work of our teachers, who prepared their students with care and attention to detail. They worked tirelessly to create an authentic and memorable experience that would help our students deepen their understanding and appreciation of their Greek heritage. We are also very proud of our students, who demonstrated their love for Greek culture and traditions through their performances and their active participation in the event. We hope that this celebration has inspired them to continue to explore and learn more about their Greek identity and to carry on the legacy of their ancestors.
